Safety Center & Child Safety Standards
Version: 1.0 · Effective date: 11 October 2026
ta.ke is built to keep you anonymous and to keep WORLD free of exposure, exploitation and direct harm; this page explains the tools and what we do with reports.
Your safety tools
- Anonymity by design: no profiles, followers or direct messages; your name and email are never shown.
- Location control: turn your broad location label off in Settings at any time.
- Report: ••• on any take → Report. The take disappears from your view at once.
- Block: ••• → Block this contributor. You can unblock in Settings → Privacy & Security → Blocked.
- Request review: if your answer is kept out of WORLD, ask a person to look again.
- Delete your account at any time; it takes effect immediately.
What happens after a report
A report never removes content or punishes anyone automatically. Our team reviews it in context against the Community Rules. We prioritise reports about child safety, threats and exposure of personal information. The person reported is never told who reported them.
If you are struggling or someone is in danger
ta.ke is not a crisis or emergency service, and nobody monitors WORLD in real time. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number: 112 in Türkiye and across the EU, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK. To find a free, confidential helpline in your country, including for suicidal thoughts, abuse or addiction, visit findahelpline.com. If you write about wanting to harm yourself, you are not breaking our rules; please reach out to someone you trust or to one of these services.
Child Safety Standards
ta.ke has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming and the sexualisation of minors.
- Adults only. Every user must confirm they are 18 or older before taking part. Accounts we learn belong to minors are closed.
- No contact surface. There are no profiles, follower graphs, private messages or friend lists, and sharing contact details or social handles is not allowed, which removes the main routes adults use to approach children.
- Detection and human review. Content involving minors in a sexual or exploitative context is held and reviewed by a person and is never published while it is checked. We distinguish exploitation from survivor disclosure, condemnation, news and protective discussion.
- Removal, account closure and reporting. Confirmed CSAE content is removed and the account is closed. We report it to the competent authorities, including Türkiye's İhbar Web hotline (ihbarweb.org.tr) and the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and to any other authority the law of the relevant country requires. Evidence is kept only in isolated, access-controlled storage, for the period the law requires.
- In-app reporting. Anyone can report a take for "Child safety or sexual exploitation"; these reports are reviewed first.
- Point of contact. Cemre Işıksal is ta.ke's child-safety point of contact, at support@take.international, and can speak to our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
- Compliance. We comply with the child-safety laws of the countries where ta.ke is available and cooperate with law enforcement.
To report a child-safety concern outside the app, write to support@take.international with "Child safety" in the subject, or report directly to ihbarweb.org.tr or report.cybertip.org. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
